2027 ISAKOS Congress

Attendee Participation Agreement

I hereby request and consent to participate as an attendee at the 2027 Congress of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (“ISAKOS”), taking place in Sydney, Australia (the “Congress”).

I understand that the Congress may include instructional course lectures, live surgical demonstrations (“Demonstrations”), symposia, debates, lectures, scientific paper presentations, electronic posters, workshops, and other educational sessions and activities (collectively, the “Sessions”).

I understand that the Sessions are provided by ISAKOS for educational purposes only. The materials and information presented are not intended to represent the only, or necessarily the best, methods or procedures appropriate for the medical situations discussed. Rather, the Sessions are intended to present the approaches, views, statements, and opinions of the individual presenters, which may be of interest to attendees.

Attendance and Admission Policy

Admission to the ISAKOS Congress and all official Congress programs, educational sessions, meetings, and social events is limited to registered attendees and individuals specifically authorized by ISAKOS. Children, infants, and unregistered guests are not permitted to attend Congress activities unless expressly approved in advance by ISAKOS. ISAKOS reserves the right to refuse or revoke admission to any individual who does not comply with this policy. Childcare services are not provided.

Recording and Intellectual Property

I understand and agree that I may not photograph, record, reproduce, distribute, transmit, or otherwise copy any Session, or any portion thereof, without prior authorization from ISAKOS and the applicable presenter. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, photography, audio recording, video recording, screen recording, livestreaming, and the capture or distribution of presentation slides or other educational materials.

All intellectual property and other proprietary rights in the materials presented at the Congress, including applicable copyright rights, are expressly reserved by ISAKOS and/or the individual presenters.

I understand that Sessions and other Congress activities may be photographed, audio recorded, video recorded, or otherwise documented by or on behalf of ISAKOS. I grant ISAKOS permission to record and use my name, voice, image, likeness, and participation, and those of any family member or guest attending with me, in photographs, audio recordings, video recordings, livestreams, or other media created during the Congress.

I understand that these materials may be used by ISAKOS for educational, promotional, archival, informational, or other lawful purposes in print, digital, online, and social media formats. I waive any right to inspect or approve such materials and any right to compensation arising from their use.

Attendee Directory and Registration Information

I understand and acknowledge that, by registering for the Congress, certain information associated with my registration—including my full name, city, state or region, and country—may be included in an online attendee directory or registration list unless I specifically decline consent during the registration process.

Volunteer Patients and Confidentiality

I understand and acknowledge that volunteer patients may participate in Demonstrations for educational and training purposes.

I agree to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all volunteer patients and will not disclose, record, photograph, distribute, or otherwise share their identities or any personal, medical, or other confidential information obtained during a Demonstration.

Safety, Health, and Clinical Activities

I agree to comply with all applicable safety requirements, infection-control procedures, universal precautions, and proper medical practices during any Session or activity in which I participate.

When coming into contact with patients, cadaveric specimens, cadaveric materials, biological materials, surgical instruments, or other potentially hazardous materials, I will follow all instructions provided by ISAKOS, the Congress venue, faculty, and authorized personnel.

In the event that I experience an injury, exposure to bloodborne pathogens, or other health or safety incident, I will immediately notify ISAKOS or the appropriate on-site personnel and follow all recommended evaluation and treatment procedures.

I understand and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in Congress Sessions and activities, including any related medical evaluation, treatment, or other expenses that may be required.

Registration and Travel Expenses

I understand that ISAKOS is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, airline, hotel, visa, registration, or other expenses, fees, or penalties incurred by an individual who has not completed registration for the Congress or for whom space is unavailable.

Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver

As a condition of my participation in the Congress, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my attendance and participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I waive any and all claims, causes of action, and rights I may have against ISAKOS and its directors, officers, members, employees, volunteers, contractors, representatives, and agents, as well as Congress presenters, faculty, sponsors, venues, and service providers.

I release and discharge these parties from liability for any loss, damage, injury, illness, disease, expense, or other adverse consequence arising from or related to my participation in or attendance at the Congress, including Congress programs, social functions, demonstrations, workshops, and other activities occurring on-site or off-site, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived.

Agreement to Congress Policies

By registering for and participating in the 2027 ISAKOS Congress, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Attendee Participation Agreement.

I further agree to comply with all applicable ISAKOS policies, Congress rules, venue requirements, safety procedures, codes of conduct, and instructions provided by ISAKOS or authorized Congress personnel.
